Today is a fun day. It's my mama's birthday(the enigmatic Scorpio)!
It's also been quite an exciting past few weeks, bringing the good news that our house has been sold. We were just ready to take it off of the market and settle in for the winter when three offers came in, we were overjoyed with the news. We first moved to Whidbey Island when I was just 15 and I've grown so much, as I am now 27. I've experienced the death of my grandmother with whom I was close, and deaths of childhood pets as well as first love and heartbreak. My mother and I have always been the most kindred spirits and our closeness has been the one constant in my life. The past few years we have been dedicating ourselves to connecting with our passions. We've always been creative but we made a decision to make creativity the top priority in our lives. Unfortunately all our craft supplies and tools have been packed away for the past six months. This has been really difficult though we have spent lots of time dreaming and planning. We hope all goes well with the house sale but for today we stayed in the moment and celebrated. Here are some photos of the goodies she got!

Who says one can't live a rich life without a lot of money? The richness of a life well lived with art and music, loved ones, and passion is what counts.
That's some good looking Indian food.
